My Creative Space - ruffles
Hooray something other than hair accessories and better still I am making it for me!!!!!!! Although I can see a few birthday or Christmas presents evolving out of this one too :-) Stay tuned for a finished project soon (I ran out of red thread last night)..... can you tell what it is? For more creative spaces check out what is going on at Kirsty's. Oh and how divine are her ambient, girly lights! Very cool idea.

Kids rooms - ideas?
I am looking for inspiration to some kids rooms where boys and girls share!!! Our new place only has 2 bedrooms, so Anya and Josiah will be sharing - just like the good old days!
I don't want the colours to be completely neutral but want to incorporate something that suits both sexes?!
If anyone knows the source of these top two images please let me know... I was a naughty girl and didn't save the name! oops!

Birdcage Veils
I don't make many types of birdcage veils at the moment, mostly concentrating on the bandeau style which I like best! My lovely sister-in-law was visiting Australia for the weekend, so we drove to Sydney to see her and I took the opportunity to borrow her for a few product shots! Do you have a favourite?

Pop up Paper Flower Shop
David Stark and his team are pretty amazing!! They design some fabulous events and the theming is a visual feast. They also designed and made this pop-up flower store completely out of paper, walls, awning and all! How very cool.

Have a great weekend.

Ducks in a row
I like all my ducks in a row but motherhood changed that! Mind you I still like my ducks in a row... I just can't always have them lined up. Not a bad thing necessarily, just frustrating for a chick like me.
These stunning images are from an amazing photographer called Cade Martin!
Chandelier #16 - All the way from Venice
It was lovely for Posie to think of me while she was swanning around Venice with her handsome soldier! This lovely cream chandelier is all the way from a shop in Venice - taken from the window. Look at the lovely reflections of the gorgeous buildings in the glass *sigh*

Bison
So fortunate to have a Bison store in Canberra! I love popping in there to see all the beautiful rows of gorgeous stoneware... stunning milk bottles and penguins lined up like soldiers begging me to take them home. I have posted these photos before but they are worth a second look!
Alas, my visits to Bison have been rare these days with Anya's dislike for staying in the pram: a toddler and expensive stoneware = stress levels too high to enjoy a leisurely visit. Something I will have to do on my own soon before I am surrounded by boxes...
??
We should be settling on our new place in less than 2 weeks - am I excited?? you bet! Have a great weekend!

Macarons
I have become a Masterchef junkie!! I didn't watch it last year but it seems to co-incide with feeding Josiah and I am hooked. I saw the macaron tower on MS last week and I see them constantly in the blogosphere and drool every time!
{image}
I can do Pavlova's... I can do meringues... but can I conquer the Macaron? A little while back I featured Tartelette as a Friday Favourite! Helen has a great article on demystifying the Macaron on her home page. I always thought they were spelt Macaroon but discovered they are two different things!?! So what I want to know is have you made them and what are your tips for a successful Macaron?

I may have bought this....
....stamp! Thanks Holly from Decor8 for the great find! I am not a big 'stamper' but loved the above stamp from Karaku and hopefully my little Grace Designs stamp will fit inside and will be lovely for thank you cards to accompany purchases... I am hoping to carve one of my own very soon...

This is where I have been.....
So this is where I have been.... busy playing Mum to two kids (Josiah is 10 weeks on Monday) - even though I have had my mother-in-law visiting for the past week I didn't seem to get to my blog much but I did deliver a box of goodies to Shop Handmade! They included some of my new designs and some old favourites. And this latest addition below taken at the shop!
We also had the pre-settlement inspection on our new place - so we should settle in 28 days or less. We have decided to see our lease out and move at the end of August! Soooooooooo exciting!!

Sarah Jane posted some fabulous photos recently of reading corners at her place. These would be very popular in our house :-) What a great way to showcase books and encourage reading. An awesome idea I will be pinching.

My Creative Space - new hair pieces
I have discovered matte Tulle!!! I couldn't find it in any other shade than this pink at the little material shop I went to near my Mum's place but will now be on the hunt for it in ivory and white! It is lighter and stiffer and holds so much better than glass or crystal organza. I got very excited to find it. The above blossom is mixed with tulle.
I'm not quite sure what to name this bloom? If I get stuck for which flower it looks like I just call it a blossom or bloom!! Very creative I know - ha ha. I would say a little bit like a Camellia but I names these blooms Camellia's.... I guess there are many variations - singles and doubles etc.
This is my my interpretation of a Magnolia. More creative projects to sticky beak at over here.....
