Beautiful, striking compositions aren't they! These pictures make me really happy!

I saw Julia's work on Decor8 and went off to explore her website. The images in her flower section are my favourite, they make me want flowers in the house - pronto.

Who Did That

Aren't these pendant lights fabulous from Who Did That! Made from beautiful Tasmanian Oak. I'd be happy to hang one in my home.

I became an Auntie again over the weekend! My brother and his wife had a little boy on Saturday morning :-) So excited, he is a little darling and I can't wait to give him more cuddles. Did you have an eventful weekend?

Weekend Project - DIY Memory Game

A cool little DIY to make with the kiddies from a lovely new blog I found yesterday called Dandee. I have seen this done with family photos too which is great to teach your children about their extended family if you don't live close by - like us!

Speaking of family, I have been looking forward to the weekend as the kids and I are off to my Mum & Dad's for some company. My hubby got stuck in NZ with the volcanic ash while on a business trip :-( It has been a LONG week, 7 more sleeps till we see him again and counting! Fortunately he has been able to hang with my brother and his wife until phase two of his business trip starts on Monday. We miss you GG xx

More Reading Corners

Interior design by Lisa Sherry via Lonnymag.

We love to read in our home and this idea is so practical and cool. I don't think we are at the stage where we can display kids books like this in our home just yet with a 13month old! I first saw books displayed like this on Sarah Jane's blog and loved it. Something that brings me great joy is wandering into a room and finding Anya sitting quietly 'reading' a book - ahhh, heart warming.

One for the adults - unfortunately I couldn't see where this site gave any credit to the photographer but they do share 35 cozy reading corners here.

Fine Art Photography - Kari Herer

I saw these on Decor8 but had to share them in my space here too! Magnolia's are a magnificent flower and the way the photographer, Kari Herer has captured them on top of the botanical drawing is perfect!

This is cute too!

Zuzii Baby Shoes

Adorable shoes for tiny feet from Zuzii.

Handmade in America using breathable cotton and soft soles for new walkers, these shoes are so very cute and stylish. The Joli petal shoe is my favourite! I'd love to see some fun styles for boys! They would make a lovely, unique birth present!

A little bit cheeky

I saw this shirt on the bigcartel blog and had to laugh! It is from Situation Specific T-Shirts. It is true that no-one else cares as much as you do about your own blog!

These were made for my hubby! ha ha They come in pins or magnets.

Designer - Monique Lhuillier

I would be comfortable wearing any of these four dresses by Monique Lhuillier. The ruffles to hide my fading bustline - post, feeding two babies!

Don't you wish you could get married all over again and choose a dress with pockets? How practical - hankie, lip gloss......etc. The above dress is one of my favourites from Monique's Resort 2012 line found via Style.com. It is so divine and Monique's wedding frocks rock, seriously!!

Handmade Market wrap up

I was sad to say I missed last Saturday's Handmade Market but delighted in hearing it was one of the best yet! The Business Summit was a great success also - hoorah.

If you missed out this time and wish you could come - make sure you earmark the 1st and 2nd of October for a double day market to coincide with Floriade - no excuses! It is the perfect time to visit Canberra.

One group of ladies from up north even hired a bus and came! How fun. Photos courtesy of Tania McCartney.

Paper Flower - Cake Topper

A dear friend of mine asked if I would make a cake topper for her wedding. I was delighted to and really loved what I came up with, so did the bride - phew! These flowers sat on the top layer.

This smaller cluster of flowers sat on the second layer of cake on the side. Would you believe the paper was left over from my wedding? We used it for our order of services 8.5yrs ago.

Photography Props - Stationery

Chevron stripes, kraft paper, vintage typewriter - what is not to love about these 'save the date' cards? But I also like the way the photo is styled - wood grain, vintage book and a black and white photo, makes it that much more appealing. Designed by Lande & Maze.

Product images by Becker Photography

The simple props and fabric texture make these photos special - save the dates designed by Ruby & Willow.

Product images Ruby & Willow.

I found both these above images on a lovely blog which is new to me, Oh so beautiful paper!

Lovely simple images on a plain, crisp white background are equally appealing - you can't go wrong with a pencil and ball of string.

Etta Photography - A Love Story

Gorgeous photos from the talented Etta Photography including my black vintage inspired headband... which I have a feeling isn't going to last much longer in my etsy store. What a cute little shoot and couple.

Downton Abbey Fashion

Are you hooked yet? I enjoyed watching last night while I made a custom order. Although, I did snap a needle and poked myself several times while I was immersed in another world (there was no blood)!!

I was born in the right era - fancy wearing some of those outfits to dinner! eek! Definitely on the lookout for some hair piece inspiration! Looking forward to a wonderful week - hope yours is too.
