Cookie Cutters with a difference...

Aren't these fabulous... they would look fantastic on a winter dessert bar on the side of a warm hot chocolate shot glass. Once again from Cox and Cox.

You could get in early for Christmas and start practicing your snowflake cookies! Even though we don't have a white Christmas here in Oz - there is something lovely about snowflakes at Christmas... maybe it is the thought of being cooler that we all love :-)

Chandelier #15 - Bakery bling

This Chandelier is in a bakery near us at the Fruit and Veg market! Mum and I shared an expensive but disappointing Frangipanne tart there when she came to visit and help me out with Josiah. I snapped this pic while enjoying our lovely coffee's.

I have finally made a few more flowers for Shop Handmade which I then hope to get into my Etsy store very soon! These are a lovely crisp white - beautiful for brides or girly girls!!

Friday Favourites - Red Shoes

.... are my weakness! Loving these ballet flats by Elephant and Chickpea :-) Cute shop name too! I once had 1 hour for brunch and boots in Melbourne and I did both! I walked away with a pair of funky red boots from Brunswick St - very happy... credit card not-so-much but they are fab and have had a lot of wear.

Chandelier #14 - Canning Jars

Chandelier again from Pottery Barn, well it is more of a pendant! I am on a home-wares binge this week - in my head anyway :-) I have 'moving' on the brain... still waiting for our pre-settlement inspection date before we can get packing! *sigh*

Poppies and Posies

I adore moss, vines, berries and fungi of the floral variety! I loved using it in my floristry days and I love the way Poppies and Posies use it in their event arrangements. Don't these floral decorations look fabulous. Using quirky containers can make a lovely arrangement really memorable and fun!

Choosing herb names for wedding tables - cool idea! I came across Poppies and Posies via Oh Hello Friend! Love Danni's style!

Mirror, Mirror on the wall....

Looking for a mirror or two to grace our wall in the new place... I like these...

All from Pottery Barn - my favourites are the collection at the top! If anyone spots some in Oz - let me know :-)

Dreaming of furnishings

Love these risers from Pottery Barn!! I would love to find 3 solid blocks of wood to use as a coffee table :-)

I love stools! Practical and Pretty in a rustic kind of way :-)

Also Pottery Barn...

My Creative Space - project dreaming

I really want to make one of these for the 'kiddies' - I am still getting used to the plural :-) This sweet one is from Smile and Wave.

Childhood 101

Here are a couple more designs....

If you are interested in DIY's for children, make sure you check out the very cool kids kitchen made from Ikea components that I posted on Monday and check out what other clever bunnies have actually made this week here....

Chandelier #13 - DIY beaded

Shop Girl passed on this link courtesy of a dedicated website to dollar store craft: find out how to make this Chandelier! Nice for backyard birthdays/weddings hanging from the trees :-)

Easy as ABC...

All these beautiful wooden items are from Bookhou! I would happily take home anything from that shop! Their textile range is gorgeous too!

Laser cut alphabet

Cool mobile!

Steam bent slab bench

I spent all day yesterday thinking it was Monday (we had a long weekend here in Australia on Monday) and kept on doing silly things! I washed an entire load of laundry with no soap but sadly didn't realise until I was taking the washing off the line, I made a roast vegetable lasagne and forgot to put the fresh lasagne sheets in that I had defrosted (more of a vegetable bake in the end - which was just as yummy) and then I signed my loan application in my maiden name (I have been married 7.5yrs)! derr... I did notice in time to correct that one too. Here's hoping for a better day today :-)

For budding Masterchef's

This little kitchen was built from Ikea components :-) How cool is it!??!!! I love the idea of decent toys that have longevity (aren't plastic) and are able to be shared. Hmmm we have a few months until Anya's 3rd birthday - this may be a job for 'Daddy' and 'Papa' (the latter has the right tools)! Maybe after the big house move.... waiting, waiting for my pre-settlement inspection tour appointment! Come on folks - lets get it over with. I hope you all had a nice long weekend.

I found this gorgeous Sweedish photographer via Decor8 and just love these butterfly cut outs - I think they would be perfect for little girls parties or even big girls :-) so sweet and they look stunning with the lilac. Google has an automatic translater function built in so you can translate the blog to English! Perfect!

Handmade Market and Schmooks win!

{image}

Look what I won!!!!! This adorable limited edition print called 'Neville's friends' valued at $450 by the clever Claire of Schmooks fame :-) I'm going to restrain myself and wait until we move into our new place before I put it up.... (only a few weeks now)... Thanks Claire - I'm chuffed!

The Handmade market was fabulous as per usual and I really enjoyed going as a punter this market - footloose and fancy free with no responsibilities :-) Although I did have Josiah to carry around all snug in his carrier - he slept through the entire outing. It was a perfect Canberra Winters day! Make sure you book in to visit for the next two - Sept 11 & Dec 4th.

My Creative Space

So many things happening at our house! I ordered two Lotta Jansdotter books from the Book Depository! Seriously fast delivery and great prices. These are for when I have time to actually make things for myself! And we are about to commit to a mortgage so I wanted to buy them before I felt guilty about spending on my hobbies ;p

Anya got creative in the pantry and made an Echidna!!!! With no help from me or suggestions... she disappeared, was very quiet and this is where I found her - I laughed so hard. There was much concentration and she wasn't up for posing for a photo - so we got an action shot.

Some bridesmaid 'Ballet Blossoms' for a custom order at Shop Handmade.

And finally a cute little custom headband for a Christening made from limited edition vintage lace.... No more custom orders for a while... busy munching on this - 4 weeks old last Monday! Time flies.

More creative spaces here.

Pretty Packaging

A few more favourites from Cox and Cox! I would have cupboards full of this stuff if I could :-) Don't you think ribbon looks even more gorgeous when on a wooden spool! I LOVE ribbon as much as I love paper.

We are off to an interview for 3yr old Pre-school today... my girl is sooo ready - I wasn't sure I was but since Josiah has come along I would be happy for her to start in October when she turns 3, not in the new year (if I get the option). I miss my sleep!!

Stall Set up Inspiration

{image}

I have a very short post on the Handmade Market blog today with Stall Set up Inspiration! Only 4 sleeps to go until the next market at the lovely grounds of the Kamberra Wine Company! This will be my first market as a punter since I have been involved with the Handmade :-) I think I will take Josiah and potter around on my own for a while :-) What a great outing for a day trip, bring your warm gear and enjoy the sunshine and fantastic shopping!! If you get in nice and early why not go to the shop first (open 9.30am till 2pm) and then head on over to the markets (10am - 4pm)!

More lovely gifts

I received these fabulous gifts from the lovely Jennifer Taylor who is not only a talented photographer and lovely lady but clever in the knitting department too. The beautiful 'Pompalary' hat is made from Pure Organic Merino Wool - so soft and cute! Unfortunately my model was not so obliging today :-)

The Magna play Jennifer thoughtfully sent for Anya as something to do when Josiah was feeding and it has been a massive hit! Anya loves the carry around the little case claiming she is "off to work".

Thanks Jennifer :-)
