Birthday Bag - for Casey

Not great pictures I am afraid but I am in a hurry to get to the post office! The butterfly is beaded and the handle has matching fabric on the inside to the initials and B-fly. The material is recycled, thanks to Jet's mum!

Door sign

A Christmas present for my 10yr old niece, I feel slightly uneasy 'posting' the photo before the gift is received but I am pretty sure she doesn't know my blog exists... I hope.

A card for Casey

I never remember to include any of my cards on my blog... so here is one I made tonight to match my niece's 7th birthday present... pictures to come of her groovy bag after she has received it! The 7 is made of felt.

A book for Angelina June

More new pages and materials... some old ideas with new elements. Not everything turned out interactive on this one - that's what happens when you deviate from the plan, but happy with it nonetheless!

Another giveaway I would love to win - you could too

Unfortunately I don't post all that often to try and win every free giveaway's from Grosgrain... unless I want my entire blog to be filled with links :-) What a nice Christmas present some wall decals would be!

A book for Harry

I can't claim all these new pages as my own designs, I got a great free template from Notebook magazine meant for an alphabet chart and converted them to my own soft book pages. I love the owl and Marty the one eyed Martian!

Ahhh time....

I am desperate to sew, I even have orders sitting waiting but I can't seem to get to the sewing machine for more than 5 minutes!! I am mourning the loss of two day-sleeps down to one (Anya not me ;) and so far that one sleep has not stretched to multiple hours *sigh*.

I did see this poster on someone's blog and loved it... it will grace my spare room wall one day.

I did read an excellent article on Sarah Jane from Sarah Jane Studios about juggling work & home life - she has some great ideas on how to manage your creative time! Read here

The birthday boy enjoying his book

A book I did a while back for Hugo - he loved it!

A book for Layla

This book is going all the way to London, so the post box should have been RED!!! I have modified a few characteristics on my favourite pages (i.e: Lady bird) as I am trying to steer clear of small buttons that can be chewed off by vigorous playing!

Some new features for those little fingers that love to touch: Crinkly skirt (which is complete with Granny's vintage lace), Satin on the mail box and craft foam on the Watermelon. Hopefully these new dimensions will increase the tactile enjoyment for Layla.

The machine is out!

I have recently moved house and so I vowed not to sew for a few weeks prior to leaving so I could pack and not be tempted to sneak lots of sewing in.... now I have my machine out again and need to get back into the groove as I have a few book requests pending!

Jack's book

Jack's book has a cool tool box complete with Shadow board. The tools are velcro'd on the wall and you take them off and put them in the box! I started off not liking that page then it ended up one of my favourites. I love the braid under the car also, I have had it for years - it was meant to be the trim on a cool skirt but never made it.

A book for Hugo

Finally I have gotten around to posting photos of Hugo's book. I have had visitors galore and had not processed my photos. So, here are some of the pages.... enjoy!

Sophie's Book

This book was made for Sophie who is 14 months old, so I tried to make every page quite interactive. My neighbour Heather is buying this book for Sophie and as Heather is a music teacher I have included a musical page. The little felt notes slide across the ribbon. The sneaker is my current favourite and latest addition although the shape needs some work I think. The last two pages would be a challenge for littlies but hopefully a 1 year old can manage the press-stud and zipper!
